This one small misstep resulted in emergency surgery and a 47 day hospital stay as I relearned to walk in the rehab unit.This enormous challenge offered an important reminder of what patients experience during the care process and strengthened my already great respect for Nurses, CNAs / PCTs, Therapists & Social Workers.
